The "Your Space" Principle

The core feature of CAi’s service offering is its "Your Space" principle. The principle operates on the following premise:   We do not believe it is up to us to determine what is, and what is not, a crisis for your business.

As a client, you will always be at liberty to use your backup facility at your discretion.  Only you and your designated staff will have access to “Your Space” at any time of the day, any day of the year.  Outside a monthly fee agreement, you will never incur additional charges for declaring a disaster, nor will you be charged for using your facility. 

The CAi solution provides you with dedicated space for your office equipment and your essential staff - how you choose to use that space is entirely up to you. In almost all cases other service providers operate on a first come, first served basis resulting in space shortages during widespread crisis situations.

The "Your Space" Offering

As a “Your Space” Client, your systems are hosted by another third party provider.  We provide you with the office space and facilities for your essential staff, as well as help you to arrange network connectivity with your existing provider and main office. You will continue to operate with your current hosting provider but also have a facility you may use at any time which acts as an extension of your existing network and office.  In the event of a disaster, your “office” may no longer be accessible however, your backup systems will be on-line and your staff will have a fully functional continuity space from which to operate.

Although our standard unit size is 800 square feet, provisions are easily made to accommodate clients requiring as little as 350 square feet and as much as 30,000 square feet of space.

Customised Solutions

Every client will be invited to outline their precise requirements in terms of power, metering, lighting, floor covering, etc. (with our guidance) before their custom suite is built within our facility.  Construction times are very short as the requisite infrastructure is already in place to support total occupancy.  This process ensures that every client has their individual requirements precisely catered to while knowing that their suite is protected by the security and back-up that our facility provides.

Many organisations have already invested significant amounts of money to establish data and hardware hosting facilities with other providers.  What the vast majority of these organisations are missing is the dedicated space within which to house their staff in times of crisis – first come first served space will simply not suffice in anything other than extremely localised disaster events.  The “Your Space” solution is also ideal for isolating a portion of your staff during times of pandemic crises as we experienced with SARS and we may experience again with the looming threat of Avian Flu.
